My Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 (02 reg) has just developed a problem with the central locking. Whenever I lock it, it locks and then unlocks all doors immediately. This happens if use the key in the driver's door, or the passenger front door, or if I lock from the inside.

If you have a Mondeo 2001 (mk3) with a remote control for the central locking you can change the strategy of opening the doors. The normal mode is: push on the unlock-button once and all doors open. Second mode is: push on the unlock-button once and only the drivers door will unlock.

The central locking in my MK3 Mondeo has been playing up for years. The other day I came across a great video that described how to change the door controller. The same video also recommended to try a reset routine first involving turning the ignition On/off 4 times In quick succession. I did that but it did not solve the locking problem.
